Having suffered 2 nervous breakdowns, I was in a mess physically and mentally. Claire having seen me recommended her programme. I am so pleased I took the opportunity as it’s the best thing I could have done. 

 

She taught me about the circadian rhythms, the importance of getting sunlight into your eyes first thing in the morning.  This has reset my sleep pattern which was all over the place. Having gone from not sleeping until 6am and only sleeping for a couple of hours, I am now back to my bedtime routine of sleeping soundly from 10pm until 7am. This has helped to regulate my cortisol which was extremely high following the breakdowns. 

 

We followed a healthy eating regime filling in a food and mood diary which we tweaked along the way ensuring I was eating every 3-4 hours to keep my blood sugars steady.  This has really helped me to make healthy choices.  I have even cut down on the wine enjoying kombucha now.  We also added in extra supplements to support my nervous system and breathing techniques. 

 

Exercise had to be gentle with me due to my high cortisol levels to avoid putting extra stress on my body.  I started out not leaving the house or opening the curtains and now I am enjoying 12k treks in the Peak District.  The walks in nature have been so beneficial to my mental health as well as giving me gentle exercise. 

 

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Claire.  She is kind, patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, encouraging and good fun.  I always looked forward to our zoom catch ups to see how my week had gone. 

 

I have lost a bit of weight but more importantly my zest for life has come back.  I am now socialising with friends again, joined the church (found on my walk) and made new friends there.  I have just enjoyed a little holiday in Padstow.  Not bad for a girl that could barely function a few months ago.  I have even halved my medication which is fabulous.  

 

So, thank you Claire for helping me on my wellness journey.  It has been an absolute pleasure working with you.
